The Emergency Department at Shifa provides initial treatment for a wide range of conditions like road traffic accidents, burns, poisoning, bites and stings, respiratory emergencies, cardiac emergencies like heart attacks and stroke for both adult and pediatric age groups and is a one-stop facility with a full spectrum of services under the leadership of qualified and experienced emergency medicine physician.
The Department is also fully equipped and has been trained to handle life-saving procedures like intubation cardiopulmonary resuscitation [CPR] central venous cannulation transcutaneous Cardiac pacing, Electrical and Chemical Cardioversion etc.
